Resetting your EcoSmart Water Heater is more simple than making a cup of coffee. Just follow the below step-by-step procedure and have your unit reset. 

  • Turn on your water heater so that the LED display comes on.
  • Press down the round knob on the unit for 3-5 seconds and release the knob.
  • The LED display should pop up the code CE2. 
  • Run the water for two or three minutes and check for hot water. 

Note: Basically, you need to reset the unit when error codes are displayed on the LED display. And resetting the unit will fix the issue temporarily to get hot water. It means you should resolve the issue behind the fault code. 

When your water heater is operating in the CE2 mode, the unit will heat the water at 125-degree F just like a tank water heater. 

Most importantly, you will be unable to control your water temperature while running the unit in the CE2 mode.
