The benefit of this feature is- your children will no longer adjust the controller setting or it will prevent accidental pressing of the buttons.

When this feature gets activated, what will happen then-

  • The lock icon will appear on the controller display.

How To Enable Temperature Lock On Navien Water Heater?

You can activate the Temperature Lock on Navien following two methods. I highly recommend you try the Second method to enable the Temperature Lock.

First, simply press and hold down the lock button for 2 seconds and it will lock all the buttons except the Lock one. If you want to deactivate this function, hold down the Lock button for another 2 seconds.

Second, pressing the DIP switches (Switch 2) on the front panel will also help you activate the Temperature Lock mode.

Regarding this, remove the front cover using a flat head screwdriver. Then, locate the front panel and flip up the small plastic cover from the panel to access the DIP switches. The Switch 2 generally configures the Temperature Lock.

Just set this DIP switch on the front panel to On and it will enable the Temperature Lock mode. Now, you or other members of your family can’t adjust the temperature unless you move the switch to Off.
